Sue Humphrey is the founder of The Gold Medal Coaches Summit - Year 2. An accomplished track & field coach, Humphrey was the Head Coach for the 2004 USA Women's Olympic Track & Field team. She also was on the 1996 & 1992 USA Olympic staaffs. She was named as the first winner of the Nike Coach of the Year and is currently very involved in coaches education.

Coach "Mouse" coaches some of the top hurdlers & sprinters in the world. He explains how to transition a young hurdler to the college event. His advice can be used on athletes of all ages/abilities.

Coach "Mouse" Holloway, U of Florida, has coached 13 NCAA team titles and received 13 USTFCCCA Coach of the Year awards. Athletes he has coached have won 19 Olympic medals & 84 individual NCAA championship events. He was the 2020 Head Men's Olympic Coach and on numerous Team USA staffs prior to that selection. Currently, he's coaching Olympic hurdler Grant Holloway (no relation), Olympic sprinter Erriyon Knighton, and coordinates Heptathlete Anna Hall's training program along with many other prospective Team USA members.

Michelle Carter

Olympic Gold Medalist Carter explains how she mentors young throwers to have confidence in their abilities and become the very best athlete possible. Good techniques are required for on the field success & she shares her thoughts.

Olympic Gold Medalist & Former American Recordholder in the shot put, Michelle Carter is giving back to our sport through mentoring young athletes. She conducts clincs/workshiops for youngsters. A 3 time Olympian, she is also in leadership positions with USA Track & Field and the USOPC. She's also in the Texas Track Coaches Hall of Fame. After winning 8 Texas State High throw titles, she earned a scholarship to The University of Texas-Austin where she won NCAA shot & was part of several team titles.

Travis Geopfert

Coach Geopfert has developed an outstanding group of jumpers. He excels in creating some of the best horizontal jumpers in the world. His also coaches several elite male high jumpers at college & professional levels.

Coach Travis Geopfert has coached 5 Olympians & 25 World Championship team members. He's trained 19 NCAA individual champions during his 22 year career at Central Missouri State, Northern Iowa, U of Tennessee, & 2 stops at the U of Arkansas.

He's been selected 4 times as the National Assistant Coach of the Year by USTFCCCA. Geopfert also supervises a pro group of athletes, Trackwired TC, featuring Sandy Morris, Tara Davis-Woodall, Hunter Woodall, Carey McLeod, Wayne Pinnock, & Darren Sullivan. He has trained 2 Bowerman winners, Jaydon Hibbert & Jarrion Lawson.

Brooks Johnson

Watching the end of most distance races turn into sprints, Coach Johnson shares how to coach speed with distance runners. If they can't sprint, they probably won't win. He explains how to add speed in your training without sacrificing other needs.

The name Brooks Johnson is synonymous with the sport of track & field. He's done it all! He has been the personal coach for athletes on each USA Olympic team from 1960-2016. In 1960, he coached his first medalist, Willie May, in the men's 110m hurdles. After coaching high school athletes for 12 years, he moved to coach at the U of Florida, Stanford U & Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo.

He then directed the US Olympic Training Center while coaching several elite sprinters/hurdlers like Justin Gatlin, David Oliver, Lashon Merritt, Butch Reynolds, Tori Bowie, & Patti Sue Plumer to name a few. Johnson has won numerous Coach of the Year awards & is in several Halls of Fames.
