Over the past 12 years, Coach Nic Peterson has continued the outstanding jump reputation that the U of Florida has. He started coaching as a volunteer at U of Nebraska and at TCU before coming to Florida. Over his career, he's coached 7 Olympians and earned 9 Coach of the Year awards. Athletes he's coached have won 9 NCAA team and 7 SEC team titles. Individuals he's worked with have won 21 Individual NCAA medals along with 28 SEC ones. His pro group includes Anna Hall, Jasmine Moore, Marquis Dendy, Donald Scott & Yanis David.

An Olympic 400m hurdler bronze medalist turned into Nike Coach of the Year, Coach Tonja Buford-Bailey has excelled at all levels of our sport. After graduating from the U of Illinois, Buford-Bailey transitioned into assistant coach & then head coach there. She then moved to The University of Texas-Austin where she was an assistant & Head Coach before retiring to work with professional female sprinters/hurdlers at the TBBTC (Tonja Buford-Bailey TC).
She was selected Coach of the Year 8 times & is a 3 time USA Olympian. Off the track, she's on the USATF Board of Directors representing Coaches. Her training group includes Olympic medalist Gabby Thomas, Lynna Irby Jackson, Tia Jones, & Christina Clemons.
Olympic High Jumper, Dusty Jonas, has developed a jump squad that has dominated Big 10 results for many years. In his 14 seasons at the U of Nebraska, the jumpers he's coached have won 18 Big 10 titles and earned 32 All-American honors. Jonas was on 8 Team USA squads and world ranked #9 in 2010.
Starting as a thrower at Southern Illinois, Coach JC Lambert quickly moved from a volunteer assistant to a full-time position as the throw coach, weight room supervision and meet managment duties. While at SIU, athletes he coached won 33 conference titles, 20 All-American positions, & 1 National Champion. He was named Regional Assistant Coach of the Year in 2022. One of the throwers he coaches, Deanna Price, won back to back NCAA titles along with making the 2020 USA Olympic squad.
Distance coach Will Palmer has had success follow him from U of Oklahoma to Iowa State to Western Kentucky to Georgetown to U of Alabama before coming to the U of Florida. After 5 years at Alabama, runners he trained won the SEC cross country championship & finished 3rd at the NCAA championship. His runners have been equally successful on the track.
During his first cross country season at Florida, the women's team finished 5th overall at the NCAA Championships. The Gators hadn't had a team scoring the year prior. One of the Gators won the women's race overall and he was named Coach of the Year by USTFCCCA.
